| Education
In an educational environment, SER
address two distinct areas of concern – computers in
the classroom and building physical security.
Computers in the classroom
Wouldn’t it be great if every classroom had a computer
at every desk? Studies have shown that children attending
schools which provide them with access to a computer
with a high speed network with internet connectivity
consistently progress faster and score higher than children
that do not have such access. Who wouldn’t want that
for their child?
SER
has worked with dozens of schools and school districts
to design, install and manage secure networks that can
be used to foster learning on all levels – from Elementary
through Higher Education. In fact, we have designed
and implemented economical, reliable, and completely
scalable network infrastructures (including copper,
fiber, and wireless networks) in Universities including:
• Oakland University
• Wayne State University
• University of Michigan
Building Physical Security
When it comes to technology in education, SER can help
with more than just classroom computers…physical security
in schools has quickly moved to the forefront as the
epidemic of school security breaches across the country
has increased at an alarming rate. The challenge of
keeping educational buildings secure is nothing new
to us – SER is at the ready to address the challenge,
by adding systems which:
• Limit Entry
• Monitor and record who enters and at what time
• Minimize the use of keys and the need to change locks
SER has worked with dozens of
schools and school districts to install networks and
audio / video systems in classrooms, lecture halls and
libraries. Our cutting edge video surveillance system
not only monitors who, what, when and where, but also
records movements throughout a building 24 x 7. The
fact that such a system can be installed at dozens of
locations but remotely monitored by one small staff
ensures the maximum protection without the maximum price
point. |
